The Wild Merino Sheep

Although there are genuine wild merino sheep in a number of distinctly different areas of New Zealand and some of it's outer islands, the NZ Bowhunters Society does not include the species in it's award systems or record books.
We do not in any way discourage our members from hunting this species of game and encourage those who do take wild rams to bring the horns along to the Annual Tournament for measurement and display so other members may see these rarely seen trophies.
This page is dedicated to those trophies which otherwise may not be seen.
